What to Expect
We welcome all visitors to the Alachua Hare Krishna Temple! Our temple building is situated on a tranquil, rural 127-acre property in Alachua, Florida, 20 minutes north of Gainesville. You’ll find cow pastures, gardens, ponds, forested groves, a guest house, gift shop, multi-purpose pavilion, and the Eco Teaching Farm.
We host a daily worship program from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm and a weekly Sunday program at 4:15 pm. At our temple, experience the rich spiritual teachings established by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

FROM GAINESVILLE
- Go north on US 441 (from the Highway Patrol Station at 34th Street go approximately 12 miles) until you come to the 1st traffic light in the city of Alachua.
- At the intersection of SR 235 & US 441, turn right on SR 235 (north) and go 2.5 miles.
- On the left you will see the temple entrance, “Hare Krishna Temple.” Turn left into the driveway.
FROM INTERSTATE I-75
- Take exit 399. At the end of the ramp, turn left on US 441.
- Proceed south on US 441 for approximately 1.5 miles until you come to the 3rd traffic light in the city of Alachua, the intersection of SR 235 & US 441.
- Turn left on SR 235 (north) and go 2.5 miles. On the left you will see the temple enterance, “Hare Krishna Temple.” Turn left into the driveway.

7:20 am – Deity darshan and guru puja
8:00 am – Srimad-bhagavatam class
12:00 pm – Raja bhoga arati
12:30 pm – Temple closed until 4:15 pm
4:15 pm – Dhupa arati
6:30 pm – Sandhya arati
8:50 pm – Sayana arati

Temple Etiquette
Please dress modestly for your visit to the temple.
Please supervise all children under the age of 12.
In order to maintain the atmosphere of sanctity on the temple grounds, the only dogs allowed on the temple grounds are guide dogs.
